What is the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program?

The short answer

The SINP lets Saskatchewan nominate immigrants whose skills the province needs. A nomination adds 600 CRS points, which to date has placed candidates above every Express Entry cut-off. It is one of the main ways newcomers to Saskatchewan get PR.

  • Employer-driven pathways built around an approved Saskatchewan job offer
  • Priority sectors: healthcare, agriculture, skilled trades, mining, manufacturing, energy and technology
  • Capped intake for accommodation and food services, retail and trucking

The SINP changed substantially in 2025 and 2026. Program details on this page are current as of July 2026.

We received a PFL letter from SINP immigration regarding misrepresentation, which was extremely stressful for us. However, after properly explaining our situation and submitting the correct information, we received a positive result. Arshdeep Ma'am provided excellent service throughout the process. She was always responsive, took our calls on time, guided us properly, and helped prepare all the required documents carefully. Lawyer Kanwal Pandher did an outstanding job preparing and submitting a strong file, which played a major role in achieving a positive outcome. We are very grateful for their professionalism, support, and dedication. Highly recommended to anyone dealing with immigration matters.

Common questions

Saskatchewan immigration, answered

What's the difference between an immigration lawyer and a consultant?

Immigration lawyers are licensed by the Law Society of Saskatchewan. Only a lawyer can represent you in Federal Court, including judicial review of a refused application. Lawyers also handle refusals, appeals, inadmissibility, and situations where criminal law affects your status.

How long does the SINP process take?

Processing times vary by stream and change frequently. Provincial nomination decisions are typically faster than the federal PR stage that follows. We assess your specific stream and give you a realistic timeline during your consultation.

Can you help me from outside Canada?

Yes. Many of our immigration clients are overseas. Consultations can be done remotely, and we represent applicants to IRCC from anywhere in the world.

My application was refused. Is it over?

Usually not. Depending on your case, options include reconsideration requests, appeals to the Immigration Appeal Division, or judicial review in Federal Court, a remedy only a lawyer can pursue for you.

I've been charged with a crime. Will I be deported?

A criminal charge or conviction can make a visa holder or permanent resident inadmissible. Because our firm practises both criminal defence and immigration law, we build defence strategies that protect your status before a conviction creates an immigration problem.
